About

David Duncan is a professional photographer with 27 years of experience creating images for clients, 12 of those years working as a photojournalist. David thrives in telling stories and creating branded photography for annual reports, investment relations and for image libraries in the oil & gas/energy and industrial sectors. His clients also include higher education, healthcare, non-profits and working with local businesses, and private clients. 

David is comfortable in a corporate setting working and directing staff and management teams to photographing in an industrial space and on offshore on oil platforms. His favorite helicopter to photograph out of is the Bell 407 for offshore work to the R44 over land. So far he has flown in UH-60 Black Hawk, UH-1N Huey, R22, R44, Bell 407, S-76. During his career he worked with the U.S. Marine Corps at Quantico, VA on a government contract, working along side combat camera men and women covering live fires and training exercises. He was the official photographer of the Best Rangers Competition in 2001 and has been a photo judge for several years for the  Department of Defense DOD Media Awards for the Military & Civilian Photographer of the Year.  

David worked as an Adjunct Instructor at nights at Randolph College in VA teaching Intro to digital filmmaking and multimedia storytelling along with photography. During the day he was the Managing Photographer at Liberty University, leading a team of photographers in various settings for the marketing department. A highlight was covering the Mens Basketball team that made it to the NCAA First Four March Madness in 2013. 

During his off time here in Kingwood, Texas he created a coffee roasting project with his teenagers called Baby Birds Coffee   to teach them creative ways to build a brand and a product to supply his photography clients, family and friends with fresh roasted coffee in pods and as whole beans. 

David certified in a variety of offshore safety procedures, THUET w CA-EBS, IADC RigPass, Hydrogen Sulfide - H2s, SEMS & SEMS II, Marine Trash & Debris, Medic First Aid by HSI ,Bloodborne Pathogens by HSI and is a TWIC card holder.
